Counseling

Healing is within reach, the journey starts here.

The mental health impacts of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse are long-lasting. Our experienced therapists at Live Violence Free offer free and confidential counseling services to adult and children survivors. Addressing issues such as relationship problems, family communication, grief and loss, sorting out feelings of confusion and helplessness, depression and anxiety, and recovery from trauma.

Live Violence Free provides counseling to adults and children who have been victimized by domestic violence, sexual assault, or child abuse. Counselors also work with chosen friends and family members to ensure a supportive community for long-lasting change.

Live Violence Free offers a drop-in adult support group for people who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or child abuse. We currently offer a group on Wednesdays from 11 am-12 pm.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) provides clients with new skills to manage painful emotions and decrease conflict in relationships. DBT specifically focuses on providing therapeutic skills in four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Please contact us today if you are interested, as this program requires an intake process and operates on an 8 week schedule.
