Live Violence Free operates on the principle that services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse should be available to all who need them. Providing these programs and services to local victims of violence would not be possible without the generous outpouring of support we receive from our community, including individuals, organizations and businesses. Live Violence Free depends on the support of our donors to help us in living out our mission of promoting a violence free community. We thank you deeply for any contribution to help our agency and clients thrive.
Any amount makes a difference!
How You Can Help:
Emergency Shelter Program –The Shelter Program offers a safe place for people to recreate their lives without violence and abuse. The shelter program provides temporary housing, for up to 90 days. This program aims to support and strengthen the survivor to become better equipped after their stay in the shelter. In FY 2012/2013, we provided shelter to 45 survivors and their children, for a total of 2,581 bed nights with an average stay of 2 months.
Become a member! Join our annual membership program and become an integral part of contributing to our clients’ empowerment and success. An annual gift of $50.00 or more will help to ensure that survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse will have access to counseling services, as well as basic necessities that many of us may take for granted; things such as food, baby diapers and formula, school supplies and warm winter clothing.
General Fund– Your gift to our general fund will help subsidize our operational expenses and ensure our long-term financial health and stability.
Please Consider Donating To Our Organization.
The Serenity House at Live Violence Free can house up to 4 family units (12 people total). Clients who participate in our emergency shelter program often have to abandon most of their and their children’s belongings. Below is a list of necessities for clients trying to rebuild their daily life in a new environment.
We are now welcoming your donations on Wednesdays at 8:30am-3:30pm at 2941 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Please note: We also partner with The Attic Thrift Store for donations. Simply tell them your donation is on behalf of Live Violence Free, and our clients will receive purchasing vouchers to spend at the store.
